Southern Oregon Concert Band is Together Again! with a Spring Concert playing some standards of the Community Band Repertoire. The concert will feature Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in Eb for Military Band”, Percy Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry”, a Concert Band classic “Toccata for Band” by Frank Erikson, a Warren Barker arrangement titled “Mancini Spectacular” and a novelty piece “Instant Concert” that is a tour de force presenting 30 separate, well-known melodies in three minutes and ten seconds!

For our first concert back after the 2 year hiatus we welcome Chris Pearson back to the podium. Chris is a well-known and respected free-lance musician in the southern Oregon area, with an extensive background in performance on reed instruments. He has a BA in clarinet performance from California State University at Northridge and a MM in conducting from Northern Arizona University.
